Ablon Seated Therapy 20 hours Certification

Ablon Seated Therapy - Certification

This form of seated therapy (Pagtugawan nga Ablon) is based on Ablon manual medicine. It offers benefits beyond a “corporate chair massage,” as it focuses on the various muscle tensions in the neck, arms, and upper body that people sustain in front of a computer or during any repetitive activity.

Manipulative movements combined with systematic applied pressure stimulate the nerves and help reeducate the muscles, which in turn helps them to respond to electrical brain signals for movement. In other words, the nerve path receives a “jump start,” similar to a weak car battery receiving one so that the battery can work in conjunction with the electrical and mechanical components of the car. Range of motion is enhanced, blood circulation is increased, muscles spasms are reduced, and the patient’s ability to perform ordinary and essential activities of daily living is increased.

Physical stress often manifests in the neck and shoulders, and this can create a vicious unrelenting cycle that keeps the mental and emotional states at unease, and vice versa. The application of Ablon Seated Therapy helps to break that cycle, and it gradually becomes evident and felt during the session. With the cycle broken comes a clearer mind and balanced wellbeing—one of the many healing benefits of seated therapy in the Ablon tradition.

Ag Sublika Iti Apuy

Agsublika iti Ápuy is the fourth of our Elemental Combat and Healing Immersion Series dedicated to the alchemizing of our physical and subtle anatomy through our union with the various phenomena of nature. This powerful clearing and renewal ceremony will be held for The Winter Solstice.

All ancient traditions carry the five elemental doctrine. In our own tradition the elements of Apúy (fire), Danúm (water), Ángin (wind), Dagá (earth), and Laün (ether) comprise the lens through which our indigenous healers diagnose and treat ailments. Concurrently, when all four elements are called into balance, we are able to experience alignment with Spirit. This is the mission of the Agsublika Series, for us to return to our most spiritual forms.

Ápuy is linked to the etheric body and the power of will. motivation and sense of self. It is masculine in quality, as the element of fire has the capacity to transmute, clear, and alchemize everything in our physical body, thoughts and emotions into perfectly renewed energy. When we train within the element of fire we harness the energy of  intention, courage, being and our ancestral warrior spirits as our journey in this immersion leads us to elemental training on rock formations, and caves in a vast desert landscape. These fire energies combined with the indigenous movements of Didya Mudgara, Didya ‘Kabarwanan and Breathwork promote internal fire, motivation and creation energy, and helps to transmute negative imprints of self and energetic cords by stoking our inner light and the power of our own divine will and creation.

In this very special immersion, Master Teacher Virgil M. Apostol + Janelle Corpuz Hethcoat, lead us in a return to fire with ancestral sound journey, ceremonial ancestral offerings, elemental combat practices in desert boulder landscape, folklore storytelling, mantala, and a Temascal sweat lodge experience --all within the belly of Apo Dagá (Mother Earth).

Ancestral Drumming

Ancestral Drumming

Music is an integral part of all indigenous healing and combat practices. It's sound that allows the Shaman to fall intro trance to journey into the nether realms, and its the beating of the drum that stokes the warrior's inner fire when charging into battle. The same way we believe that healing and combat are two sides of the same coin, we believe that we could do neither without the inspiration and medicine of music.

This is why we have introduced ancestral drumming into the Kailukuan School Curriculum.

Join us every Friday night at 6pm for Introduction to Ancestral Drumming, led by Resident Teacher and Instrumentalist Jeff Rivo.

Jeff is an instrumentalist and teacher of sound and percussion. His ancestral lineages are Ibaloi and Kankana-ey from Tuba and Bokod in Benguet, and Pangasinense from Pozorrubio, Pangasinan. As a lifelong musician, he considers himself an ongoing student in sound and it’s mysticism.

With practices in Capoeira and Silat, Jeff brings a unique and internal perspective in the combination of sound and movement. He believes that music brings forth our abilities to align movements rhythmically and to help the mind engage and focus. His teaching style is unorthodox and is based in the intelligence of the heart.

Learn basic percussion techniques with various ancestral drum and percussion instruments.

Every Friday starting November 19th at 6:00PM-7:30PM

-Unlimited for Kailukuan Monthly Unlimited Members

-Open to the community for a $20 class drop-in
